NO-WIKI WEDNESDAY with A HINT OF YU 1/18/12

I hope everyone has their encyclopedias dusted off, it's gonna be a tough day for confirming references, and searching things that are on the tip of our tongue.

YU
Today we'll find out if the Rangers and Japanese pitcher Yu Darvish have agreed to a contract.  After this gets sorted out, we should expect all kinds of madness regarding Prince Fielder, Roy Oswalt, and more.  WFAA's Or Moyal, the only person i've ever seen pull off the organic plank, believes the Rangers might have something up their sleeves in the coming weeks involving a major trade.  Que the conspiracy music.

I'll be the greedy fan and take both Yu and Prince.  It can happen.  In fact, it will happen.

The Yu Darvish deadline is 4 PM, i'm sure the MLB Network will have some coverage, but if I were you i'd just listen to Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket, which you can find on Tune In Radio, theticket.com, or locally in Dallas on 1310 AM or 104.1 FM.  How's that for a virtual cross promotion?

This ought to hold you Rangers fans over for a few hours.

HONEY BADGER TV
The profile of "Randall" (Friend of Cirque Du Sirois and Team Havin' Fun) continues to grow larger.  The dude is getting a TV show.

Here's "Randall" with Cirque Du Sirois, hat tip and air bones to AP of theunticket.com

WILL FERRELL
Well, you definitely can't say he's a one trick pony.  Here's the trailer for his new spanish speaking comedy, "Casa de mi Padre".

TO CATCH A GOLFER
Former golfer, who needs to come up with a better fake name, Steve Thomas can't control his horny level.

THE 'BAMA TEABAGGER w/ A TEABAGGING TWIST
In this link, you'll find another link to the original story of the Alabama teabagger.  Basically, and LSU fan is passed out and an Alabama fan teabags him on video.  It turns out, Teabagger Vance is the son of the sports director of a local Alabama news station.

Yu me, but don't Wiki me until tomorrow...oh, I still don't have a Wiki page?  Damn.

  1. Alexi ogando is the odd man out, in my eyes. If another front office values him as a starter, his golden arm would hold a ton of value. Impossible to lay out a hypothetical, though, as we don't know which teams see him as a rotation piece.

  2. Yeah I think that's how the Rangers want things to pan out naturally and it makes a lot of sense considering that he is a 2-pitch pitcher and kind of has the delivery and motion that's more suited for a reliever. As always, people get antsy and want answers to everything immediately though and that just won't happen with the Rangers. Everything will play itself out in Spring Training. If he goes out and gives up only one or two runs in all of spring training and looks dominant again, it'll be hard to say no to him in the rotation if one of the other guys is struggling. We'll see.
